Building Empowered Communities Across North Carolina
The Carolina Federation Fund seeks to support a broad and diverse community of grassroots leaders across the state of North Carolina who are committed to economic, racial, social, and environmental justice.
Our goal is to increase public awareness, civic participation, and the leadership of people in historically marginalized communities through community organizing, intensive leadership development, educational materials, public events, and non-partisan voter registration and turnout activities.
About our work
To achieve transformational changes for our people in NC we need to organize from the bottom up. Our organizing strategies include:
- Building chapters through community organizing focused on working-class people and people of color
- Training leaders and empowering people to take action in their own communities to make material change
- Year-round engagement including community building events, issue campaigns, and voter registration in our communities
